- Purpose

Beim Operationsbefehl „ZEUS“ vom 28.4.89 handelt es sich um den letzten derartigen Befehl der Armee 61 am Ende des Kalten Krieges (Fall der Berliner Mauer am 9.11.1989, Auflösung des Warschauer Paktes am 1.7.1991). Er hatte Gültigkeit in der kurzen Uebergangsfrist bis zur Armee 95. Gemäss „ZEUS“ Ziffer 4. Besondere Anordnungen, 4.3. Bezug des Grunddispositivs, sollte dieses im Anschluss an eine Allgemeine Kriegsmobilmachung ohne weiteren Befehl bezogen werden. Es konnte vorübergehend als Bereitschaftsdispositiv zur Wahrung eines möglichst grossen Masses an Entscheidungsfreiheit dienen oder zum definitiven Grundkampfdispositiv ausgebaut werden, um rasch einen hohen Grad der Kampfbereitschaft zu erreichen.
